I’ve never heard and felt such a powerful topic so well spoken. This talk really moved me and I thought it was an idea worth spreading.

June 11, 2008 I read a story in the UK Guardian today discussing the first real Unicorn has been discovered.
An animal expert in Italy is claiming to have found proof of the existence of unicorns after he
stumbled upon a young roe deer with a single horn growing from the centre of its forehead.
The 10-month old animal is part of a herd of deer that are otherwise equipped with two antlers at the Prato natural science centre in Tuscany.
”It’s proof that the mythical unicorn celebrated in iconography and legends was probably not just a fantastic creature but a real animal: a deer or other species with an anomaly similar to that of our deer,” said the centre’s director Gilberto Tozzi.
Bigfoot sent an email to me and requested that we stop looking for him. BF said, “Once you can stop killing each other we will all hang out.”
Any day now humanity will find compassion for each other. If Unicorns exist certainly we can spread love.
May 16, 2008 I normally blog about technology and useful tools, and sometimes I find something so spectacular I have to share it.
April 24, 2008 It seems so simple, yet Apple still has not addressed exporting contacts from it’s address book. I thought by the 5th update of OSX they would respond to a simple task, but alas no response.
If you consider you can’t copy and paste with the iPhone this should not be surprising.
I found a great application that handles the export from address book and it is free. It’s called Address Book Exporter 2.1.2
This simple app will allow you to import your contacts a bit easier.
Apple should handle this, but maybe they are working on more toys and leaving the business out in the cold?
March 27, 2008 I found this group of guys while attending classes at the San Francisco Comedy College. I take classes at the Comedy College because I really love doing stand-up and hanging around with creative comics. My creative juices flow right on to the dirty carpet of the Clubhouse. The Comedy College is a great group of people who allow me to be an artist and not fear judgement, just smelly people wandering in from the Tenderloin.
I met Sammy Wegent at the comedy college and I’ve seen a few of his shows at the Purple Onion. He is a part of SPF7 a local San Francisco treasure. I found these videos on You Tube last night.

March 27, 2008 I am a decent writer, and I know my limitations. I find my best work comes when I proofread my writing and then I have someone else read my copy to me. It becomes painfully clear as I want to correct the reader and insert words I know belong and remove words that aren’t needed. I think this is a great editing tool and I found a way to do this without bothering my friends. I have my Macbook Pro read to me with Apple’s text to speech feature in Leopard.
Here is how I do it:
March 27, 2008 I love Google Analytics, which is a tool can provide an incredible amount of information. Analytics provides much more than cool graphs and a readout on how many unique visitors came to your site.
I always look to the experts when I want to learn more about a tool, and I’ve found the Holy Grail of Google Analytics. Avinash Kaushik is the Google’s Analytics Evangelist. He is a wonderful source on getting the most out of Analytics.
Avinash speaks through Occam’s Razor which is a principle rooted in simplicity that I personally love. Avinash describes this concept beautifully :
The simpler the explanation the more likely it is better than a complex one.
I think this sums it up, Everything should be as simple as possible and no simpler. Avinash’s site is a treasure trove of useful tips on Analytics and I hope you will check it out.
What do you use Analytics for?
March 26, 2008 Have you ever been torn between several vendors when looking to buy software? How do you really know if it will work until you commit and start using the tool?
Step #1: Call tech support. How long do you wait to get a person? Are they knowledgeable? Do they speak English? This is what you will experience if you need to call for help.
Step #2: Get references. Is anyone else using the software like you plan to? Same or similar configuration? Ask for three references from current customers in the same boat. Their story can tell you a lot.
Step #3: Exit strategy. How do you get your information out if you no longer wish to use the software? We all plan to use our new tool for the long hall. What if you don’t?
Asking simple questions can reveal a lot about the company, and their support. Find out if it will really work for you before you buy it.
How do you evaluate your tools?
March 26, 2008 Do you do voice overs? Every wished you had one microphone that could do voice and Skype? I recently bought the Blue Snowball and up to that point I had been more than disappointed with the USB
microphones I’ve used.
I really like tools that do their job well and don’t try to be everything. Air Supply tried to please everyone and we know how that worked out.
This USB mic acts like a cartoid Mic which before the Blue Snowball you would need a mixer to use such a mic on a stock Apple. You might be wondering does anyone else like this mic?
The Apple Store buyers like it.
Mac Observer likes it.
The musicians friend likes it too.
What do you think?
March 26, 2008 I discovered this tool at a networking mixer at Sandbox Suites last night. I’ve never really considered
advertising on my blog until I read about this tool. Triggit created a very simple way to make money by advertising to visitors on your site.
Well it turns out you can provide link to books on Amazon.com and other sites where your visitors might go anyway. So why not make a dollar or two with an Affiliate program?
This is a triggit demo, and I think it’s worth checking out. These cats are onto something cool.
